A special event focused on “aging with dignity” is set to take place today at Capital Hotel in Ethiopia. The program aims to shift societal perceptions around women’s aging, beauty, and value.
It has been announced that between 100 and 150 gentleman, ladies aged 25 and above will participate in the event. The platform is designed to help women embrace aging as a blessing, take pride in their natural life journey, feel empowered, and gain recognition.
The program is organized by Impact Multimedia, founded by journalist Yeshewa Masresha. Through personal stories, lived experiences, discussions, and various engaging activities, the event celebrates women’s achievements, life transitions, and wisdom.
The main objective of the program is to honor aging with dignity and challenge negative societal attitudes toward women growing older. It also aims to educate participants about the social, emotional, and physical changes women experience as they age—such as menopause.
Additionally, the program seeks to:
Promote mutual respect, understanding, and support across generations and genders
Recognize role models
Highlight influential women within the community
The event will also emphasize the importance of creating broader public awareness through impactful storytelling and digital content.
It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026 (Megabit 19, 2018 Ethiopian Calendar) starting at 1:00 PM (7:00 local time).
