Guests who came to attend the New Africa Real Estate Conference stated that beyond being impressed by the city’s climate, the development of Addis Ababa is exemplary.
At the recent New Africa Exhibition and Conference organized by the Ethiopian Real Estate Association in collaboration with Doksa Events, real estate developers and researchers from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Nigeria toured the city’s corridor developments and historical sites and confirmed that significant progress is being observed.
These 12 guests also attended a conference held at Elilly Hotel, where they shared experiences and practices from their respective countries. Members of the Ethiopian Real Estate Association board were present, and it was noted that the conference has created optimism for the growth of Ethiopia’s real estate sector.
As the capital of Africa, Ethiopia has demonstrated that it can host a high-level regional real estate conference for East Africa.
The exhibition and conference, which began on Thursday, Miyazya 15, 2018 (Ethiopian calendar), concluded officially yesterday, Miyazya 18, 2018.
This conference held in Addis Ababa is said to enable joint solutions to challenges in the East African real estate sector and to strengthen policy research.
The African Real Estate Society (AfRES) is organized into three regions—East, West, and Southern Africa. The current conference serves as a preparatory event for the major continental conference held annually in September.
It is recalled that Ethiopia previously hosted the 16th continental conference in 2016 at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) hall.
In honor of the guests, a dinner reception was held at Yod Abyssinia Hotel in Piazza, where they were presented with cultural gifts to help them appreciate and remember Ethiopia.
During the dinner program, the President of the Ethiopian Real Estate Developers Association, Mr. Alemayehu Ketema, presented gifts to the guests and stated that such collaborative efforts to develop Africa will continue to be strengthened.
The exhibition and conference were organized jointly by the Ethiopian Real Estate Developers Association and Doksa Events, with media coordination carried out by a Tewedaje media and communication (Ezra Ejigu).
